Update on my little Avery

Last Sunday my little turduckin turned 2 months old!! I cannot believe how fast the last 9 weeks has gone. She had her 2 month appt was Monday and here were her stats:

Weight - 12 lbs 9 oz (80%)

Height - 23" (75%)

Head - Cannot remember but she is in the 60%

Avery and Addison couldn't be more different. Avery is super mellow & calm and is content just laying in Erik or my arms. She is a super sweet baby, and I thank God everyday for having her. The poor kid inherited my super sensitive (almost albino) skin. I should buy stock in SPF 70 suntan lotion. Her hair is strawberry blond, and seems to be falling out every time I give her a bath :(. She is a CHAMPION eater (hence being 12.9lbs @ 2 months) and is a great sleeper as well. Around 5 weeks she started falling asleep between 7-8pm and will wake up to eat anytime from 3:30-5:30am.

Avery was having some trouble breathing through her nose - starting in the hospital and we thought it was just b/c she was born with a lot of crud up in her nasal passageway. After seeing my pediatrician a few times b/c of Avery wheezing & snoring really loud; she had us go to the Children's Hospital and see an ENT Specialist. Dr. Kelley @ Children's diagnosed her with Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Disease. Basically when she is eating - some of the milk is getting up into her nasal cavity and making it really iterated up there. She also had an infection, so she was put on some meds and seems to be doing a lot better. Avery isn't snoring like she was - and the wheezing doesn't seem to be as bad. We have a follow up appt on the 17th of July for them to scope her again and see if the medication is doing what it needs to do.

She is honestly a WONDERFUL baby - I don't know how Erik and I got so lucky to have such an easy-going, calm little one :)

Update on Miss Addy Shea

I figure the best way to update is to do a different post for each girl. Addison will be 2 in less than 2 weeks! She has taken SO well to the baby and honestly loves her baby sister. She wants to help me change her, give her a paci & blanket. I didn't think she would pay too much attention to to her- but pretty much from the minute we brought Avery home from the hospital she has been hovering around her. When Avery starts to fuss Addison will yell "I'm coming my Avery". She is a total sweetheart.

Addy talks ALL the time. Literally ALL the time!! I didn't realize how much she talked until I have been home on maternity leave with her. If the room is quiet for just one second she will look at me and say, " Hi Mom -Hi". So there is really never a quiet moment in the Landgren household. She loves to "read" her books and thinks Dora the Explorer is the greatest thing ever :) Addison also loves playing outside & going to the park. She continues to be one busy little lady.

She just finished her first round of swimming lessons and did great! We actually decided to re-enroll her starting in a couple weeks. When we would get to the pool she would yell "I love you bath". It was pretty cute!! Its only 30 minutes a week, and its nice for her and Erik to have time together.

We are having a little family b-day for her on her actual b-day; July 9th w/ my Mom, Daryl and Craig. Then on Saturday July 11 - we are having our friends over for a BBQ with a Dora theme for Addy's b-day ;)

I will try to keep the blog updated as much as I can now that I have my lap top back. With 2 kids it will be interesting :) Hope this finds everyone doing well!

Long time.... No post...

Well the long & short of it is I took my computer in b/c of an error w/ the main driver that I was told would take 15 minutes to fix, and it ended up being almost 5 weeks!!!! I cannot tell you how much I have missed having my laptop & internet!!

Obviously I have much to catch you up on. I will up load some new pictures tomorrow and get the blog up to date as soon as I can.

Addison will be 2 in a couple weeks, Avery will be 2 months on Sunday. The girls are great, and I have taken quite a few pictures over the past 5 weeks to update the blog with.

Its GOOD to be back!
