A HUGE thank you to my friend Gena!!

When I got home from work yesterday there was a package waiting for me from my good friend Gena in Madison, WI. She sent Avery a PBK hand print kit, changing pads, cute onesies & a GORGEOUS blanket. The picture doesn't do the blanket justice. It's from a company called "Dust Bunnies" and its seriously so cute & soft!! I also love the pattern!! Thank you so much - you really didn't have to send anything, you are beyond thoughtful!!
I met Gena when I worked as a Credit Manager up in Milwaukee, WI and she was the Credit Manager in Madison. We became friends right away, and I wish we could see each other more. She has 2 beautiful daughters, Maddi & Eastyn - and a link to her website is to the right of my blog. She is a very talented photographer in the Madison area.

Thanks so much Gena- it was a great surprise!!

Reagan's 2nd Birthday Party Pics

Little Miss Reagan turned 2 this past weekend!! Mary had a party at her house and it was a lot of fun. Reagan is ADORABLE, and getting so big!! She is very well spoken, and has the largest vocabulary of any 2 year old I have ever met. Addison was excited that it was a "Dora & Boots" party, and pretty much kept eyeing all of Reagan's presents. I would also like to add that ALL Walsh/Brown events are so much fun when all of Mary's family & nieces/nephews are there. Its like organized chaos and I love every minute of it. Addison loves to watch all the big kids run around. Here are some pictures of the festivities...Reagan & Eleanor (Cousin) They are little partners in crime. Look at those big brown eyes! She is so cute!

Mary and little Tierney who is 3 months old already.

I think Mrs. Walsh took this picture of Addison and I, Addy has a weird smile on her face - but since I am ALWAYS the one behind the camera I thought I would post it.

Check out those party bows! I cannot believe she kept them in the whole time.

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY RMB!!

Doc appt update and the gender results of baby Barrett.

I had a doctor's appt yesterday, and I am happy to report all is well. 3lbs under pre-preg weight; BP was 117/72 and Avery's hb was 150. They did another ultrasound to check her heart & spine again as well as check the location of the placenta. Avery's heart & spine are perfect (thank goodness) and the placenta has moved up a bit and out of the way. Now I am labeled as "partial previa". All in all it was a good, quick check up. I start going in every 2 weeks as of Feb 6, 2009. Its crazy to think in 3 short months I will be a mother of two little girls!

Addison is fabulous and keeping us on our toes. It's amazing how many new words she learns everyday. Yesterday I kept saying "President Obama" when he would come on the TV, and before the end of the night when his picture would come up she would point to the tv and say "Obama". She is obviously a child prodigy ;) We are going to Reagan's 2nd Birthday party this weekend and I know Addison will love playing with all the girls!

Our friends Sarah & Russ found out yesterday that they are having a little........GIRL!!!

They are planning on naming her Madeline Elizabeth (last I heard anyway) and she is due 6.9.2009. This makes 5 little girls in our group!!! I am so happy for Sarah & Russ. I know they will be great parents.

Next to find out is our friends Jen & Drew Daughtry. We should know by the end of next week what they are having!

Have a great Wednesday!

My friends are the BEST!!

This weekend Avery & I were thrown a surprise baby-shower brunch by my friends. I was honestly shocked (and I am not an easy person to surprise by any means) and was so honored that they did that for Avery and I. Sarah, Annie, Mary & Erin took me to Mimi's Cafe (which I love) and we all hung out and I got some gc's, a lovie, a handmade baby blanket from Annie, clothes for both girls & a book. It was SO thoughtful. I am so lucky to have the friends that I have. I didn't have my camera, but I will get pictures to post on here shortly. Thank you so much LADIES. You are all so thoughtful and wonderful. I don't know what I would do without you!! When Erin dropped me off, she came in to see Addison and I took this picture. Look at Addison's little rabbit teeth ;)

Sunday was a pretty lazy day with the exception that we took Addison to "Little Monkey Bizness" over in Lone Tree. Its an in-door play area for kids 0-6 years old with lots of play structures and bounce houses. To say Addy Shea loved it was an understatement. She ran her little tail off the entire time we were there!! You can see the video of her below. My Mom came with us, and it was a good thing. It took 3 of us to run around after her for 90 minutes. Here are a couple pictures from her time at LMB, also you can check out the video Erik took of her below.

My daughter is obviously a back up dancer for the Backstreet Boys ;)

Just a side note on her outfit: I was out with my friends (will post more about this later) and came home to my toddler in some winter pj's with a raccoon hat on. I guess this is the kind of outfit to expect when Daddy is on duty. She LOVES the backstreet boys!! I might need to hire Annie's brother Alex to teach Addison some more dance moves ;)

Video of Addison @ Little Monkey Bizness

Its a little shaky towards the end - but here is Addy Shea running all over Little Monkey Bizness this weekend. She loved every minute of it!

Addison's 18 month check up & Avery has a "B-day"!!

Addison had her 18 month check up today & here are the stats:

Weight: 24lbs 5oz (50%)
Height: 33" (85%)
Head: 45 3/4 (25%)

We waited a long time to see Dr. Stevens, but as usual it was worth the wait. Dr. Stevens is AWESOME and so great with Addison. She will also be Avery's pediatrician when she is born as well. Addison got 3 shots and didn't even squeak! The nurse was shocked and gave her 2 stickers and Addison just smiled at her! Addison is right on track developmentally and seems to be growing like a weed!!

We also discussed what to do about the "swatting". Addison has taken to swatting the dogs, other kids and really anything that gets in her way and time outs don't really seem to be working. Dr. Stevens went over a couple really good plans on how to get her to stop, and Erik and I are confident we will have this behavior curbed in no time!! We don't think she is doing it to be mean per say - but she doesn't understand that she is hurting other kids & our dogs. Thank goodness the dogs are SO GOOD with her. The poor guys put up with a lot from her.

Here are some pictures from this weekend:Here is her "football pose".

Time for some juice

She was dancing to some good Country music. She is quite the dancer these days :) Her hair was pulled back in a pony tail - that is why it looks so short.

Also - my doctor's office called today and my c-section is scheduled for April 28, 2009 @ 7:30am, provided she doesn't come on her own before then. Erik and I have to be there by 5:30am. I am very excited! I wanted the early surgery.. so I am thankful to get it! I think my Mom is going to stay with Addison while we are at the hospital, and hopefully my Mother in Law will come out at some point. I cannot believe that is only about 3 months away!

Addison's first pony tail :)

Of course I had to take pictures of Addison last night after I put her hair into her 1st pony tail :) Its a baby pony tail.. but I thought she looked so grown up! Where has my baby gone?!?!? I am actually surprised the pony tail holder stayed in her hair.

Side View

From the front - I think she looks SO grown up here!

My 29th Birthday

I had a GREAT 29th Birthday. I woke up and got to hang out with Addison for a little bit before taking her to daycare so I could meet up with my friends for lunch. I figured - she might as well nap at daycare so I wouldn't be stuck to the house. I did some shopping for the girls and then met up with Annie, Erin, Mary & Sarah at Red Robin for lunch. It was so nice to have a lunch out with my friends. I really wish we got together more often then we do!! Erin printed off about 100 pictures of Rob Pattinson (my secret "Twilight" boyfriend) and I plan on bringing them all to work sometime this week :)

After lunch I went to do a little more shopping @ The Container Store and realized that it was 65 degrees and GORGEOUS outside. This is one of the many reasons I love Colorado - nothing like having a 65 degree day in early January. I took this picture out my car window waiting for the light to change. It was so clear - and the mountains looked beautiful! You really take living in CO for granted until you move away.

I went home for a quick cat nap before it was time to get Miss Addison. I picked her up from daycare and as usual - she was so stinkin cute!! :) She wakes up between 3:30-4pm from her afternoon nap, and I pulled up just as she was waking up. Once we got home - my Mom came over to play with her and watch her so Erik and I could go to the Melting Pot for dinner. I LOVE that place!! I ended up getting SPOILED for my Birthday. Not only did I get a wonderful dinner out - but Erik got me diamond earrings & an i pod touch. I am so blessed to have such great friends and family. Thanks to everyone for thinking of me on my b-day!! Let's hope 30 is just as good ;)

Aunt Erin's Dance Academy - 1.1.2009

We had a few people over on new years day and Erin had both Addison & Reagan (Mary's oldest daughter) dancing up a storm to Hootie & the Blowfish. They were SOO cute! The girls seem to get along great, and actually play together now. I cannot believe how grown up they are.

Reagan hugging Addison goodbye. They were so cute together!!

Riley Alexa Poirier

Here is our niece Riley! She looks JUST like Carla did when she was born. I just got off the phone with Carla, and Riley is eating and sleeping like a champ. Erik and I wish we could be out there to see them. Hopefully I will have more pictures to share soon.

Our Niece is here!!!!!

Riley Alexa Poirier made her grand entrance into the world early this morning (January 3, 2009) at 3:05am. She weighs 8lbs 7.5oz and is 21" long. Poor Carla had a VERY traumatic birth experience, but thankfully she is okay now and her and the baby are well. We are waiting on my brother in law to send over some pictures and as soon as he does I will post them here. She was 2 weeks early, and Carla was supposed to go in for a planned induction on Monday - I guess Riley had other plans!!

Erik and I wish we could be in Rockford to be with them - but luckily Erik will be out there soon. (I am so jealous!!)

WELCOME TO THE WORLD MISS RILEY!!!!!
