New Work Hours!!

According to my doctor I need to cut back to 40 hour weeks. Starting tomorrow I will be working 7:00-3:30pm!!!!!!!! OMG I am so happy. I haven't worked a 40 hour week since starting w/ FEI 5 years ago. This is a much needed break. I talked to the boss man and he totally understands. I will also stop making my weekly trip to Pueblo starting @ 32 weeks as well. Adam will be going in my place until I return to work in the fall.

40 hour weeks is a dream come true! Thank you LORD!

24 Week appt

Just got in from our 24 week appt. Addison's HB is 140 bpm, and she is 1.7lbs!! Hard to believe she is already a pound and a half!! She is already head down and the doctor said she will more than likely stay that way. She was head down at my 20 week appt as well, so the doc thinks that is her "comfy" spot. She was face up most of the appt and we got our first 3D shot of her!! She had both arms up around her face so its a little hard to see, but she already looks so much like a baby!! She was sucking on her fingers the whole time and we could even see her open her mouth on the 3D shot - and it looked like she was yawning!! Doc said she was "perfectly on track" for where she should be at this point and all looked wonderful with her! They found the money shot of her aortic arch and her heart looks perfect. I also had them double check Addison was still all girl - and she wasn't shy this time. So we have had 3 ultrasounds confirming she is a little lady!

Now on to me.... My BP was high again :( She officially labeled me as High Blood Pressure and with that comes the joy of weekly appts after 30 weeks and Non-Stress tests every appt. I will also get an ultrasound every appt (not complaining about that one bit ;) ) She will be taking blood and analyzing that along with urine samples. She also said my due date is more likely to be July 9, 2007 instead of July 16. They will monitor me closely and as we get closer to my EDD make the decision when to induce if I don't go on my own before 39 weeks. I am now on a sodium restricted diet (those of you who know me - know this is going to be SO hard to follow) but I will obviously do whatever I need to - to make sure this little monkey is healthy.

I have my glucose test next appt - YICK! I just hope that goes smoothly and I don't have to go back for the 3 hour. I gained 3lbs since last appt - which was well in the acceptable range, so that was a relief.

Other than that I feel good! I have felt better in the last 2 weeks than I have most of my pregnancy. Addison is moving around all the time and I love feeling her!! Erik hasn't felt her yet - she seems to quiet down the second her Dad tried to feel her move;) I am sure that it will only be a few more days and he will actually catch her!

I felt her!!

I am excited to report that last night (March 14, 2007) around 9:00pm I was laying down in bed watching the news and Addison was moving all around - so I put my hand on my stomach and waited and sure enough I FELT her kick/punch me!!! It was amazing. I felt her 3 times before I got so excited I ran downstairs to get Erik(who was playing pool). When we went upstairs I tried to see if I could feel her again so Erik could feel.. but she must have decided to go to sleep.

It was an awesome feeling!! I cannot wait for Erik to feel his daughter too!

I *think* I know what diaper bag to get for Addison

http://www.skiphop.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SH&Category_Code=DB&&Product_Code=182000

There is the link. I personally like the pink cinnamon glam one ;) I know 2 people with Skip*Hop diaper bags, and both people seem to like it. My friend Michelle has the blue camo one for her son, and Mary has the orange one for Reagan. I was really thinking about getting a Vera Bradley one, but this one is a little less expensive - and super cute.

Her nursery :)

So we are pretty much done with her nursery and I have about 17 weeks left to go before the little lady makes her arrival. We picked Pottery Barn Kids "Chamois Lambie" and I really like how it turned out! Her closet is already filling up as well. Buying baby girl clothing is super addictive, however with that said I am on clothes buying restriction until Addison's arrival ;)

Registered

Well we registered at Babies R Us, and that was a lot of fun! They don't have everything available online, but we decided to only register at this one place. Here is our registry if you are interested:

Amazing how many things there are to get for the little one. Shopping for girl items is SO addictive. I have to pry myself away from buying her 1 more pink dress ;) Her Daddy hasn't been much help. Every time we go out HE has found something that "she has to have!". Needless to say she has the best wardrobe of a 21 week old fetus I have ever seen.

Erik and I hit up the mall this weekend and bought her an adorable outfit to wear to Rockford late this summer. Addison's Aunt Carla loves turtles and Erik found these cute denim overalls with little turtles embroidered all over them @ Gymboree. We also got her a matching hat & socks to go with it. Going into the Baby GAP was also a bad idea (in regards to trying to save money) - because they had a great sale. We got her the cutest hoodie & sweat pants outfit to wear this winter. My friend Mary also let me in on the fact that Nordstrom carries Robeez & Puma shoes for infants. I can proudly say I didn't buy any (Addison has the Crab & Burgundy Argyle Robeez already). I really want the dark pink Robeez with the dogs on the front of them, but they didn't have any in 6-12 mo. The puma ones were equally as cute, but again only had newborn sizes. I want to get a bigger size so she can wear them for longer. She did aquire her first pair of cowboy boots this weekend from her Aunt Erin. ;) She will OBVIOUSLY get excellent use out of those. Yee-haw!

Addison has also attended her first concert (though she obviosly has no idea ;) I went to see George Strait this weekend with my Dad, Erin & her fam. George was amazing! He sounds great live, and it doesn't hurt that he is easy on the eyes. :) Baby girl was moving for pretty much the whole show - I can tell I have a country music fan in the making already!

Congrats to Jen & Pete!!

My friend Jen & her husband Pete just had their second little girl on Saturday March 3, 2007!! Reyna Katherine joins big sister Ariella. She was 8lbs 14oz and 20.5 inches long. Congrats to Jennifer & Pete on their new little lady!!!

I couldn't resist.....

I saw this shirt and bought it for bumming around the house in..... and it might be cheesey - but I HAD to buy it! I had Erik model it for me so I could post it on here. (He was a good sport ... ;) Regardless of the "dorkiness factor" I think its so cute. I found it on some website where they already had a lot of pre-made items with the name Addison on it.
