Our good friends Sarah & Russ got married this past Saturday up in Fort Collins. We couldn't be happier for them! It was a wonderful day, and it was so great to see all my friends & Sarah's Mom! Here are some pictures from the event!

Getting ready to head outside.

Look at my gloves!!

Can we go outside now PLEASE?!?!?!

She loved it! Erik took her out and she played out there for almost an hour. She wasn't overly happy about her hands being wet though.

34 1/2 week doc appt - no news is good news

Well I had my 34 1/2 week doc appt this morning. BP was 110/72 and I am up 1 lb from 2 weeks ago. We talked about pain med options for the c-section a little because I told Dr. Cassell that I really would like to be awake this time around for the birth. With Addison I had an epidural that had been placed 11 hours prior to my c-section and when they pinched me to see if I could feel anything before the surgery. I could feel EVERYTHING on my right side. I started to get really freaked out - so they ended up putting me under (for lack of a better term). The next thing I remember is being wheeled into my room and the nurse telling me I wasn't pregnant anymore. The next few hours were kinda foggy since I was still out of it; and I think my first memory of seeing Addison is when she was a couple hours old. Dr. Cassell assured me that this time they will do a spinal right before the surgery - and check to make sure everything is numb. My hopes are to be awake the whole time and able to hold my newest little lady as soon as she is born!

I am pretty uncomfortable - and OVER being pregnant at this point.. but that is to be expected right?!? Plus I am pretty excited to have a newborn again! New baby smell, tiny clothes & I cannot wait to see what Addison will think of her.

This weekend we brought up the bassinet and washed the remaining outfits and all the linens to get ready for Avery's arrival. Erik is going to clean out the car seat this weekend and then all we need to do is bring the pack n' play upstairs, install the car seat base and pack my bag for the hospital. We have a busy weekend coming up with family in town, and one of my best friends getting married - so I am sure we will get to that in a couple weeks. Being that they literally had to pry Addy out of me - I seriously doubt I will go into labor before my c-section date (though I do hope for that!!)

I don't have any pictures of Miss Addy Shea from last weekend - but I will take some soon. The second she sees my camera she runs away these days. HAVE A GREAT WEEK.

Keep the prayers coming please....

Here is the update that my Uncle Chris sent my Dad about Pop-Pop:

Got word yesterday afternoon that Dad has lung cancer in the form on a 2 cm x 3 cm tumor in the apex (top) of his lung and cancerous areas on the lining of the lung. Surgery is not an option because removal of the lung would incapacitate him if he was able to withstand the operation. They are going to use radiation to try to shrink the tumor and chemotherapy for the cancer on the lining of his lung. If they can shrink the tumor, it will relieve the pain on his left side because it is impinging on nerves.
They are pushing the oncologist to get on with the treatment. Dad is not eating much which is a problem with the treatment. He has to have some strength to get through the chemo and his current intake is not going to cut it.
Sket, Brad and I are planning to cover as much of the treatment period as we can. Mom needs help getting Dad to and from the hospital so we will work out a schedule.
Continue to keep M&D in your prayers.........more later after they meet with the radiologist.

Erik and I hope to visit Savannah sometime in late June with the girls if Pop-Pop is up to visitors. I hate living so far away and not being able to help him & Grandma out. Dad said I should hold off making any concrete plans for now and lets see how the treatments go :( I am happy that Pop-Pop has my Grandma & his dog with him though - my Uncles (who are all AWESOME) are all taking turns in GA and helping them out. I talked to Pop-Pop on the phone very briefly last Friday and he actually joked with me that Minnie (their dog) was going to get up and answer the phone for him, but she decided to keep sleeping on the couch. He LOVES that dog! Please keep him in your thoughts!

Big Blue Eyes

Please ignore the paci - we are working on not letting her have it as much. Addy Shea is a paci addict that is for sure. I think we are going to go cold turkey on it this summer once and for all. She is holding her MSB (Magic Sleeping Blanket) This was taken on Thursday morning.
I asked her to smile - and this is the best picture I could get. However... you can see most of her new teeth! Over the past two weeks she got her second top tooth as well as both bottom molars! I am just thankful my 20 month old is starting to FINALLY get some teeth.

Addison's new play house

Erik and I went to Toys R Us last Saturday and got Miss Addison her first playhouse. She absolutely LOVES it and spent all of last weekend playing in it outside. She woke up on Sunday and the first word out of her mouth was "house?". We figured with me being home on Maternity leave for 3 months; she would get a lot of use out of it. One of her BFF's Reagan is coming over tomorrow morning to play outside with her. Enjoy!

Her reaction to seeing her new house for the first time!

She wanted Erik to hang out in her house with her. She grabs him by the hand and says "Come on Dad". Needless to say he spent HOURS in that house last weekend.

Wrigley chilling by Addy's car. He was her watchdog.

Addison wanted all the dogs to sit in the house as well.

Here they are feeding the"horses" some crackers. She was calling them her horses when they would sit outside the house. It was pretty funny.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here is Addy Shea sporting her "Budweiser" parade beads from Grandma Maggie. She LOVES this necklace and has been wearing it everyday since my Mom gave it to her on Saturday.

We bought her a new playhouse for the summer - and I will post pictures of her in the new playhouse when I get a free moment. She LOVES the house and spent the entire weekend playing outside. This weekend is supposed to be in the 70's and sunny again.. so hopefully Miss Reagan can come over and play with her.

More prayers needed

I just found out my Pop-Pop's cancer has returned and we are waiting on the doctors to come up with a game plan for him. I am so sad about this. This has been a hard month for my family and it's only the 10th of March...

Here is what I found on what my grandma said he has:

A carcinoma is any malignant cancer that arises from epithelial cells. Carcinomas invade surrounding tissues and organs and may metastasize, or spread, to lymph nodes and other sites.

32 week doc appt update.

Had my 32week (well a little past 32w at this point) appt this morning. Avery is measuring 4lbs 10oz and in the 56% as far as growth goes. The ultrasound tech flipped to 4D for a minute and I got to see her cute little face :) Her hands were in her face the whole time, but her mouth/lips looked EXACTLY like Addison!!!! She is so cute-and I am beyond smitten! I wish I had a good picture to post on here. The doc said her head is really low, and all looks good. Avery's heart beat was 136 bpm. My blood pressure is normal/good and I gained 2lbs since last appt. The doc also said her guess is Avery will be around 7lbs 10oz @ birth!

C-Section is 7 weeks from today. I cannot believe it!! 49 days (but who is counting?!?!?!) :)

Pictures from the last few days

Sunday proved to be sunny and gorgeous outside so we took Addison outside to play with the dogs. She had a BLAST! We had to force her inside so we could go to my Mom's for dinner. Here are some pictures from her playing in the backyard.

Waiting for Daddy to set up her T-ball set.

Erik showing Addison how to hold the bat. She would rather hold it upside down :)

Addy Shea loves this little car. She usually will ride on it by herself - however now that she knows her Dad will push her all over the yard... she much prefers that.

My sister Jessica & brother Craig. My sister flew in on Wednesday to help out my Mom with the recent passing of our Papa. It was nice to have all 3 kids together. We rarely have all 3 of us together these days. When did my little brother get so stinkin' tall?!?!?

My Mom with Craig & Jess. Mom could still use any thoughts/prayers you can muster. The funeral is June 4 at Arlington National Cemetery. I hope it will provide peace & closure for her. I am not 100% sure I will be able to go - but I know Craig & Jess will be there. I might bring Avery with me and fly in for the day. I will know more after Avery is here.

Addison's first attempt at playing T-Ball

This video was shot yesterday. It was really nice outside and Erik decided to show Addison how to play t-ball.

Sad News

My grandfather Col. Thomas Hanley Curtis died this morning in Jacksonville, FL @ the age 85. Please say a prayer for my Mom & her family. My sister Jessica is flying in to CO today and staying with Erik and I so we can help my Mom cope. I don't really have any other information at this time, but just ask that you keep my Mom's family in your thoughts.

74 degrees & sunny

Colorado has had a SUPER mild winter thus far. Today is supposed to be 74 degrees & sunny. Here is Addison before daycare today. Doesn't she look "springy" ?!?! :)
This was taken right after she woke up - hence the paci. KNOCK ON WOOD - but dropping her morning nap - has seem to help her afternoon nap as well as her nighttime routine. She is sleeping until 6:15am or so now, and today I had to wake the little monkey up at 6:30.

My husband & the laundry.

Erik was helping fold the laundry last night - and I looked up from the kitchen and he is sporting Addison's bath wrap ;) I thought it was so funny.

Personally - I think the pink cat wrap is a good look for him :)
Happy Monday.
