Sorry I haven't posted pictures in awhile.. I am BEYOND swamped at work, and haven't found the time. I will post some shortly. Until then.. here are a coulpe to hold you over.

Erik's B-day Surprise

Erik's 28th B-day is May 10th- and so I flew 2 of his best friends out to Denver for the weekend. Drew & Denny flew in first thing Saturday morning to surprise him. Needless to say - he was VERY surprised and they had a great weekend together!! (I want to say SORRY to Jake - if he is reading this. I figured since its your busy season @ work, and with Peyton being so little you wouldn't be able to make it. I didn't forget about you!!) Erik's Mom got the guys tickets to the Rockies/Dodgers game Saturday night - so they went downtown to the game and then went to a couple bars afterwards. Erin was nice enough to take them to and from the light rail station as a b-day gift to Erik. Both Denny & Drew were so cute with Addison and she adored them both!

Big Girl Room

Due to the fact I am a fairly impatient person, we have finished Addison's "Big Girl Room" about 9 months before we even planned on putting her in there :) It's hard to tell in the pictures, but we painted 18" vertical stripes of high gloss & flat paint of the same color. Its subtle - and I really like it. I went with PBK's "Olivia" Bedding, and got most of the butterflies from Hobby Lobby or Michael's. We are considering moving her crib in there now - so she can start using her room ASAP :) The nursery theme (which I still love!) is very gender neutral - and I was ready to break out the purple & pink!! If you are wondering if we did all this because we are expecting baby #2 - you are WRONG! We are NOT expecting, I just get anxious to get things finished around the house and then I am too impatient to wait. :)

80 degrees & sunny

Well its supposed to be 80 & Sunny here today in good ole' Colorado. This picture was taken before we left the house this morning. I don't have much of an Addison update - she is starting to pull herself up, and wants to stand all the time (with help of course). She is still crawling after the dogs and pretty much wants to get into everything we don't want her too. I will have a better update in the next couple weeks! Her Great-Grandmother, Aunt Jessica, Aunt Carla & Uncle Cletus are all coming into town for her Dedication at church. It will be great to have everyone around and I will make sure to take a lot of pictures!

I will miss them (as well as Tate & Jack) tremendously - but this is a great opportunity for them. That is their blog where they will post updates on their adventure across the Atlantic. Erik and I hope to get out to Europe soon to visit!

9 month check up.

Addison had her 9 month check up yesterday and here are the stats:

Weight - 19lbs 12.5oz (60%), Length 27" (25%), Head 43c (40%) & Iron Level 12.2 (normal 11-14). She is above average/advanced as far as developmental skills go, and was a total ham yesterday. Every time Dr. Stevens would try to talk to me - Addy would "yell" over her. It was actually pretty funny. Overall the appt went great - and hopefully Addison doesn't have to go back until her 1 year check up in July.

She started to pull herself up the other day, but can only get to her knees. She was crawling all over her PBK Chair, pulled herself up to her knees and did a face plant into the carpet :( I think she was more scared then anything. She is crawling all over the place and chasing the dogs the best she can. (They hate it!)

Here is the latest picture. She had just finished dinner - and I couldn't get her to sit still so I could clean her face so I stuck the bunny hat on her head. I thought it was funny so I took a picture. Amazingly enough - once the hat was on her head she sat still so I could clean her up :)
